It has taken me about five years to commit these names to this database. My family have called me 'morbid' among other things but through all the time I have worked on this project the fact that so many men, women and young people lost their lives for the country's prosperity while they were just trying to make a living, is a thought that had been continually in my mind
I would like to dedicate the work to the memory of all who are all whose names are recorded and those who have been forgotten.

FORGOTTEN ARMY. There is a large forgotten army, Who for their country have bled and died, Leaving behind them wives and children, Brothers and sisters who cried.
No bugle marks the passing of these men, No beating drum or fusillade, No flying colours, measured tread, Or monuments of stone are made.
No day when flowers are strewn, At the foot of an inscribed stone, When men march proudly With their comrades and memories, alone.
This forgotten army of the dead Have served their country well. It's fitting that we remember them, And their sad story tell.
